ABOUT ME

Picture
Hello. I'm Sarah Marsden, a 50th Anniversary Lecturer in the department of Politics, Philosophy and Religion at Lancaster University.

I have an interdisciplinary background, beginning with a degree in Philosophy and English Literature (Liverpool), moving on to study Psychology and then Forensic Psychology (Middlesex) at postgraduate level, before completing a PhD in International Relations (St Andrews).

Before I joined Lancaster, I was a Lecturer at the University of St Andrews, and a Research Fellow, also at St Andrews, and before that, a Research Associate at Middlesex University, as well as teaching for the Open University and Middlesex University on their psychology programmes.

At Lancaster, I'm part of CREST, and am an Associate of Security Lancaster. You can read more about my research here, and see some of my publications here. To learn more about my background and research you can listen to an interview I did of the University of East London's 'Talking Terror' series here.

When I'm not writing or teaching, I'm normally on the beach or in the Scottish hills with Willow. That's him there, in his element.
