Why prisons aren't 'universities of terror'

There's been a fair bit of debate recently about the role of prison in 'radicalising' people who go on to carry out acts of terrorism. The Conversation have just published a piece I wrote looking at the evidence for any relationship between prisons and 'radicalisation'. The answer, as ever with issues of terrorism and political violence, is more complex, and more nuanced than much of the commentary might have us believe.
